Berlin, CT - An explosion and fire injured an 83-year-old veteran at 239 Christian Lane around 10:50 A.M., on May 25th. Neighbors and some Good Samaritans driving by pulled the resident and his dog from the house before it burst into flames. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. All four of the town's fire departments responded, with Task Force 51 covering the town. The cause is under investigation.
