House Fire in Coshocton Brings Two Fire Departments

COSHOCTON, OH - On March 21st at about 12:00 P.M., the Conesville FD was toned out to a house fire in the 17000 block of Township Road 276.
Conesville’s Engine RE 2 and Coshocton’s Engine 305 went in en route to the scene. Upon arrival firefighters found a two-story wooden house with the siding burned up on most of the side of the house. Homeowners had carried buckets of water from a bathtub and knocked down most of the fire.
A hand line was stretched from Coshocton’s engine to hit the hot spots and a chainsaw was used to cut holes in the siding to check for extension. The fire is believed to have started in the area of the wood burning chimney before going through the siding.
Mutual aid was provided by the Coshocton FD. Assisting on scene were Coshocton County EMS and the Coshocton Salvation Army.
