City of Duquense, PA – At 7:10 P.M. on May 13th, fire units were dispatched to a reported house on fire located along the 300 block of Harden Ave. in the City of Duquense. Duquesne's Chief called en route and notified dispatch that he could see a header from his location.
The Chief arrived on-scene reporting a working fire in the rear of the home with exposure problems. Fire units arrived quickly and began attacking the fire. A second-alarm was requested due to the exposure problems. Crews were able to quickly knock the bulk of the fire down in the rear of the home, but fire had already traveled through the walls and into the roof area.
The fire was finally brought under control at 8:27 P.M. No one was home when the fire started and no injuries were reported. Several other homes did receive minor damage from heat and smoke. The fire is under investigation.
