COLLEGEVILLE, PA - At 10:31 A.M. on Monday, March 4th, Perkiomen Township’s Engine 66, Tanker 66 and an all-volunteer crew responded as mutual aid to the Pep Boys at 222 Main St. in Collegeville (in the Collegeville Shopping Center) for an initial report of smoke and then fire from the rooftop. Engine 66 laid a supply line from the hydrant on Main St. while Tanker 66 stood by at the hydrant. Multiple area fire companies were dispatched and assisted as mutual aid to assist Collegeville Fire Company. The fire and smoke were contained to the roof area. Perkiomen volunteers were in service for about 90 minutes.
