BRANCHVILLE, NJ - Sandyston Township Fire Department Station 38 responded on a mutual aid assignment into Pike County, Pennsylvania, for a reported brush fire on April 12th.
With a crew of five, Brush 38 and Chief 1 arrived to support Station 28 of the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company. In order to confine any lingering hotspots and stop their spread, crews worked on the scene conducting overhaul and suppression operations. To contain the fire, units used conventional wildland firefighting techniques, such as mobile attack and hand tools.
