CAPE MAY, NJ - On April 11th, at a little half past 4:00 P.M., the Cape May Fire Department responded to the 800 block of Stockton Ave. for a structure fire. Engine 51 and Tower 51 arrived to find fire and smoke showing from the 'D' side of a three-story multi-family house. Firefighters forced entry and placed two hand lines in to service. Engine 59 from the US Coast Guard Base arrived and established a water supply. The crew also assisted with primary search and fire attack. Fire was located on the second-floor and was quickly extinguished. West Cape May Ladder 57 assisted with overhaul while Erma Engine 62 was assigned as RIT.
