Good Will FD responded to a vehicle that struck pole and burst into flames. Driver was taken out of vehicle-Town/Newburgh EMS transported driver to Montefiore-St Lukes Hospital.

Town/Newburgh Police blocked State Route 17K as power lines was across State Route 17K. Firefighters extinguish fire-with hand lines but fire would start up until power was shut off.

Central Hudson was called and responded cut power firefighters hit hot spots. Power was out in the area-traffic lights were not working. New York State Police assisted with traffic control.

Town/Newburgh Police investigating the cause.
