Franklin Park, PA - At 6:55 P.M. on April 3rd, firefighters were dispatched to the 3500 block of Washington Lane for a reported deck on fire attached to a home. Responding firefighters notified dispatch that there was heavy smoke coming from the area. Police then arrived on-scene and found heavy fire coming from a log style home. Fire crews arrived and mutual aid was requested. Crews began attacking the fire while multiple supply sources were located. Crews then battled for some time before the fire was brought under control at 8:25 P.M. No one was home at the time of the fire, but the home sustained heavy damage. The cause is under investigation.
