PLYMOUTH, MA - On the morning of March 31st at 12:58 A.M., Engines 3,4,6 and BC2 were dispatched to 182 Halfway Pond Rd. for a building fire with possible entrapment.
Fire Alarm was able to confirm that everyone had evacuated while companies were en route. Engine 4 signed off with heavy fire showing and BC2 struck a working fire and requested an additional company. BC2 reported a two-story wood-frame, approximately 35'x20', fully involved and quickly struck a second-alarm all call, bringing Engine 7 to the scene.
Due to the area being in a no water district, Engine 10 and Tanker 1 were brought in for additional water. A water supply was set up in Redbrook and Engines 3, 6, 10 and Tanker 1 shuttled water. Three lines were stretched and put into operation on sides A and C exterior. At 2:25 A.M., heavy fire was knocked down and companies made an interior attack to hit hot spots and begin overhaul.
Companies operated on scene for four hours before being released. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Bourne Fire covered Station 6 while members were operating.
