NORWICH, CT - Just before 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26th, Engine 2, Squad A and Battalion 1 were dispatched to the area of 141 Central Avenue for a two-car accident with one rolled over. While companies were responding, Norwich Dispatch updated that a party was trapped in the vehicle and added Truck 1. Engine 2 arrived reporting a car on its side with the operator still inside. Crews stretched a dry line and used the struts with some step chocks to stabilize the vehicle. Following that, they cut the windshield to gain access. The patient was loaded onto a backboard and removed out the rear hatch. American Ambulance assumed patient care and transported.
