FALL RIVER, MA - A late afternoon fire broke out in a three-story wood-frame tenement house at 116 Danforth Street, March 10th. When firefighters arrived on scene, they had heavy smoke and flames showing from the third-floor A and B sides. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack, but were driven back when flames took complete control of the attic and third-floor. Command ordered an evacuation of the fire building and called for a second-alarm. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire and return inside to complete extinguishment.
