COMMACK, NY - A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Commack on Wednesday, March 8th, just after 10:30 P.M. A male was crossing Veterans Memorial Highway just before Jericho Turnpike when he was struck by a vehicle. The Commack Fire Department, Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps., and Suffolk County Police responded. The patient was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
