At approximately 2130 hours on February 28th, the Washingtonville Fire Department was dispatched as the FAST (to relieve another FAST) to a 2nd alarm house fire in the Florida Fire District. Squad 580 responded. Upon arrival the crew of Squad 580, the FAST, after the completion of a 360 degree survey, stood-by in front of the building.

An occupant of the building was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Town of Warwick Police Department and Orange County Fire Investigators.
