WALDEN, NY - Walden FD responded around 10:30 on Thursday night, February 27th, to a reported barn fire at 127 Plains Road. Walden Command arrived and advised 911 of a working fire and to resound home alerts for all available manpower. Also requested Tanked Task Force to scene: Mutual Aid to scene included Coldenham Engine/Tanker-Wallkill Pumper-Orange Lake Pumper-Air Guard Tanker Plattekill Tanker Cronomer Valley engine to fill site. Tn/Montgomery EMS transported burn victim to Montefiore-St Lukes Hospital. Firefighters used hand lines to knock fire down-Ladder was set up and sprayed water on fire- Deputy Fire Coordinator 36-12 was at scene-Tn/Montgomery Police was at scene. Tankers were stationed on Plains Road and dumped into portable tank set up. Fire is under investigation.
