Ridgefield Park, NJ - On February 25th, while returning from a run on Route 80, Hackensack Rescue 1 and Engine 2 saw flames coming from the roof of a commercial building below Route 80 in Ridgefield Park. The address of the fire building was 300 Industrial Avenue.
Companies preceded to the scene advised the building occupants there was a fire on the roof. Companies gained access to the roof and found solar panels on fire on the roof. Rescue 1 and Engine 2 used dry chemical fire extinguishers to hold the fire in check while Ridgefield Park companies arrived on the scene. Hackensack companies remained on the scene and assisted in overhaul.
