CITY OF MCKEESPORT, PA – Just before 6:30 A.M. on February 6th, City of McKeesport firefighters were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire located at the City’s Public Works Garage. Crews arrived to find the garage heavily involved with fire and requested a second-alarm. Crews worked for about two hours in single-digit temperatures before the fire was brought under control. No one was inside the garage, which houses several of the city’s snow plows and other equipment, when the fire broke out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
