After months of inactivity the Sarasota County Burn Mitigation Team has been reorganized. Retirements and key personnel vacancies made the team unable to fulfill the burn policies. With new key personnel the team was able to accomplish the first burn at Carlton Reserve in Venice. The burn was a prep for the upcoming Fire Fest in January.
