Cedar Hammock Fire Recognizes Top Honors

Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue recognizes individuals that excel in their roles. They consistently provide excellent internal and external customer service, setting the example for others to follow.


Deputy Chief Joseph Falcone is the 2024 Staff Employee of The Year recipient. His unparalleled attention to detail and his mastery of the intricate day-to-day operations of managing the District are evident to all. This is demonstrated in the quality and consistency of his work. DC Falcone’s impact on the people he serves is both remarkable and enduring. He is approachable, always willing to lend a hand, mentor, or provide guidance. His leadership transcends roles—he mentors subordinates, collaborates with colleagues, and even coaches his supervisor.


Lieutenant James Taylor is the 2024 Exemplary Duty Award recipient. Lt. Taylor’s leadership and dedication have significantly impacted Technical Rescue Team 644, gaining recognition as a highly capable and reliable unit. His efforts during Hurricane Helene, where the team played a crucial role in rescuing residents, further highlight his invaluable contributions. His technical expertise and unwavering commitment to professional growth have inspired others, raising the overall skill level of the team.


Lieutenant Wade Hudson is the 2024 Officer of The Year recipient. Lt. Hudson consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, and professionalism, making him a standout officer. He is committed to community and team safety, excelling in daily operations. Instrumental in Technical Rescue Team 644, he fostered a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.


Firefighter 2nd Class Zach Stiscak is the 2024 Firefighter of The Year recipient. Firefighter Stiscak's dedication, positive attitude, and leadership make him a standout for the Firefighter of the Year Award. His consistent commitment to the District's success, boosts morale and celebrates team achievements. FF Stiscak's countless projects and problem-solving approach demonstrate his professionalism and team-oriented outlook.

Kyle Bradshaw is a 35+ year veteran of public safety, and currently serves as the Fire Chief for Cedar Hammock Fire Control District. Additionally, he speaks at conferences regarding leadership development and organizational change to increase employee engagement, building highly effective teams. Kyle was the Assistant Chief (Ret) with DeKalb County Fire Rescue, DeKalb County, GA, serving as the Chief of Staff. His certifications include police officer, firefighter, EMT, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Fire Investigator Instructor (CFII), and advanced Computer Voice Stress Analysts (CVSA). Chief Bradshaw was a faculty member at Columbia Southern University. His public safety teaching includes law enforcement instructor, fire instructor, 9-1-1 instructor, EMD instructor, train-the-trainer programs, NIMS, and ICS. Chief Bradshaw earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Homeland Security and Public Safety, a Master of Science Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration, with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
