Newton training

Photo by CAPTAIN PHIL MCCULLYNewton firefighters recently took advantage of a house prior to its demolition. Thanks to a close partnership with Sunset Development, this house was able to be used for a variety of firefighter drills. Members of Rescue 1, seen here, are using a Ruth Lee Manikin to simulate a firefighter rescue. The bed and several doors were used to simulate a “Denver Drill”. This RIT drill is challenging, as the “hallway” is only 28-inches wide and 8-ft long. Everyday is a great training day!
