The paid firefighters are Currituck County Firefighters. Corolla Fire Department serves around 14 square miles out of 2 station. Station 1, the Whalehead Station is located at 827 Whalehead Drive. Station 1 houses Engine 6, Engine 61, Platform 61, Engine 64, Engine 65, and Brush 61. Station 2, the Pine Island Station is located at 470 Ocean Trail.
