Oct 18, 2018 Mills River North Carolina: Units were dispatched to a residential structure fire. Initial units from Mills River Fire Rescue going arrival had heavy fire and smoke conditions. Fire Attack was initiated and multiple Mutual Aid Units were called in from Mountain Home Fire Rescue, Little River, North Translyvania and a few others. While fighting the fire the roof collapsed from the side of the 2 story home. A quick stop of the fire was made and the attached home was saved. No injuries were reported. No further info was found at that time.
