East Marion, NY - The East Marion Fire Department is one step closer to adding a new ladder truck to its fleet following a recent visit by members of its New Ladder Truck Committee to the Ferrara Fire Apparatus manufacturing facility in Louisiana.

During the visit, committee members worked closely with Ferrara’s engineering team to review and finalize the drawings, design details, and specifications for the department’s new apparatus. The trip also provided an opportunity to tour the manufacturing facility and gain firsthand insight into the craftsmanship, technology, and detailed process involved in building a modern fire truck from the ground up.

The visit marked an important milestone for the East Marion Fire Department. By working directly with the engineers and manufacturer, the committee was able to ensure that the new ladder truck is carefully designed around the department’s operational requirements while keeping the safety and needs of the community at the forefront.

The department extends its sincere appreciation to its dealer, Hendrickson Fire Rescue Equipment, as well as the entire team at Ferrara Fire Apparatus, for their hospitality, expertise, and continued support throughout the process.

With the design and specifications now taking shape, the East Marion Fire Department looks forward to the next stages of the project and to sharing more updates as the new ladder truck moves from the drawing board toward becoming a reality.
