FREDERICKSBURG- The South Central Fire District recently placed this 2021 Freightliner M2 106/Firovac tanker into service. The new tanker replaces a 1997 FL80/Firovac 750/2000 Hawk QP that recently was sold to the Mud River VFD in West Virginia. Features include a 2,200 gallon aluminum vacuum tank with a vacuum system, a Darley KSP750 GPM fire pump, and a Firovac Double Power Fold Down Portable Tank Bracket with two 2,500 gallon portable tanks all on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis. In addition, there are full lower compartments including a transverse rear compartment, full high side compartment for additional storage, Kussmaul Battery Conditioner, Kussmaul Electric Eject, Kussmaul Air Eject, Insta Chain automatic tire chains, two night vision cameras, ISO Zero-Loss classification, and 3 air-operated water valves.
