On July 4, the Eaton's Neck Fire Department participated in a full day of Independence Day activities with the community to commemorate America's 250th anniversary.

A community procession, a cannon salute and flag-raising ceremony at Price's Bend, and a barbecue and hot dog eating competition at the firehouse were all part of the festivities. While an ambulance team was on standby to offer emergency coverage, nearby fire departments, community organizations, and local businesses also took part in the event.

The department expressed gratitude to all volunteers, attendees, and sponsors who contributed to the success of the yearly event.
