Old Lyme, CT. — July 7 — In honor of Past Chief Arthur "Skip" Beebe's decades of devotion to the department and the Old Lyme community, the Old Lyme Fire Department announced his passing. Beebe was regarded as a revered mentor who helped generations of firemen, welcomed new members, and offered his expertise.

In addition to serving in the fire department, he made contributions to the Old Lyme Historical Society, where he was recognized for years of voluntary work that preserved the area's heritage. In remembrance of a career of devoted public service, department members paid tribute to his enduring influence on the company and offered condolences to his family, friends, and fellow firefighters.
