EATONTOWN, N.J. — June 15 — In honor of firefighter Rich Zadortozny, who passed away while performing his duties in July 2016, the Eatontown Fire Department's Engine, Truck and Hose Company No. 1 presented its yearly scholarship.

Liam Rea, a recent graduate of Monmouth Regional High School, received this year's award in honor of his accomplishments as he gets ready to start college. Along with Chief Dave Alcott and Second Assistant Chief Eddie Hicks, Rea accepted the honor.
