The Meadowlands Fire Department, in East Rutherford, has accepted delivery of a new E-One Typhoon model 1500-gpm/470-gwt/100-foot quint. The flat roof cab has four seats and storage space. The extended bumper features a "jump line," and there are three cross-lay hose beds. Additional features include a pre-piped aerial water way, aerial controls at the pump panel, torques box ladder and pike pole storage, plus tool box located inside a compartment. There is a stokes basket mounted on the chauffeur's side of the aerial ladder. The aerial ladder sign on this side of the rig features a blue background and NY Giants logo. The sign of the officer's side has a green background and NY Jets logo. It was sold by Absolute Fire Protection Co.
