On April 9th, contractors started demolition of the old Independent Fire Co. of Morganville, NJ. As of 2018, the station was turned over to the Board of Fire Commissioners, Fire Dist. #3 Marlboro, NJ. A new fire station will be built on the grounds of the old fire station. This station had a series of additions over the years, however the original building, a 1-bay structure, was originally erected in Morganville in 1923.
