A fast-moving fire gutted a North Arlington home on the afternoon of March 4th . The fire which began on the first floor and quickly spread to the second floor and attic of the 2½-story wood-frame home at 551 Schuyler Avenue at Noel Drive. 

Work apparently was being done on the home when the fire broke out, responders said. Mutual aid from Lyndhurst, East Rutherford, Rutherford and Kearny assisted on the scene. The blaze was knocked down a half hour. No injuries were reported The cause is being investigated.
