Saddle Brook power line down

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

A power line snapped off a pole and landed on the front lawn of a Saddle Brook home on March 1st. Just after 3:00 P.M., firefighters responded to 516 Fair Lawn Parkway on a reported fire. As police officers arrived, they found the front lawn of a home on fire as a result of a power line down. The line came into contact with a fence, which became energized. A quick response from PSE&G cut power and firefighters were able to extinguish the lawn fire and check the home for any fire extension, which proved to be negative.
