Firefighter Lori Boelkes responded to a motor vehicle crash on February 14, 2025, at 1:36 p.m. as the driver of Tender 1. Firefighter Boelkes cleared the scene at 1:47 p.m. and returned to the station. While driving home from the station, Firefighter Boelkes became ill. Her husband took her to Tomah Hospital where it was determined she had a stroke. Firefighter Boelkes was transferred to Marshfield Medical Center where she passed away on February 27, 2025.
