On December 21 2022 William P. Moon II a member of FDNY Rescue 2 and Islip Fire Department Fire Fighter was transported home. Firefighter Moon was killed in the line of duty after he sustained a fatal head injury after falling 20 feet off an elevated surface. Firefighter Moon saved 5 lives after his passing and by his organs being donated. William P. Moon II was 47 years old and is survived by his wife and two kids.
