NEWBURGH, NY - On December 11th, Good Will FD responded to a caller stating that his washing machine was on fire at 621 Gidney Ave. Good Will command requested a resound of all available manpower to the scene. The fire was extinguished with dry chemical and then the washer was taken outside where firefighters used a hand line to spray water on it. Good Will command requested the Town of Newburgh Fire Inspector to the scene. Town of Newburgh Police were also at the scene. Exhaust fans were set up to remove smoke from the residence.
