Franklin Square, NY - The Franklin Square & Munson Fire Department responded to a reported auto extrication at Franklin Ave. and 1st Ave. on December 6th. Upon arrival, Chief of Department John Salzman notified dispatch and incoming units that there was negative entrapment, and that a car was rear-ended which forced it into a utility pole and snapped it in half. The electrical company was requested to the scene to access and repair the damage. Luckily, there were no injuries.
