SELDEN, NY - An alert member of the Selden FD called in a working house fire at 128 S. Bicycle Path Rd. just before 9:00 P.M. on December 3, 2021. Selden firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the front room of the home with extension to the attic, and outside debris. Chief WIL Cotty activated a mutual aid plan involving Farmingville, Coram and Holtsville to the scene. Selden firefighters pulled two lines, one to the front door for an aggressive interior attack, and one for the outside debris and leaves. The fire was under control about 30 minutes later. No injuries were reported.
