SOMERSET, MA - Around 8:45 A.M. on Sunday morning, November 24th, Somerset firefighters responded to 7 Deer Street for a reported house on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy fire venting from the one-story wood-frame structure. All family members had self-evacuated prior to the fire department's arrival. The home sustained heavy damage, including the loss of the roof. Somerset Fire dispatched all on-shift personnel and recalled off duty members, as well as activated mutual aid response to work and cover empty stations.
