GADSDEN COUNTY, FL - At 2:05PM on Tuesday, November 23, Gadsden County 9-1-1 dispatched a reported residential structure fire in the Robertsville section of Gadsden County. The initial dispatch requested Robertsville Volunteer Fire Department (first due) and Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department. Additional mutual aid was requested from the City of Quincy and City of Gretna Fire Departments.
Upon arrival there was a single story, single wide mobile home with smoke showing from the "A" and "D" sides of the structure. Personnel from Quincy Fire made entry through the front door on the "A" Side with a stretched line and encountered the seat of the fire in the living area that extended down the hallway along the "C" side of the home. The quick efforts of personnel on scene contained the fire to that area of the home with smoke damage throughout the remainder. An immediate call for an additional tanker from Sycamore Volunteer Fire Department was made, but cancelled prior to their arrival due to the quick knock down.
Crews confirmed that the occupant and her pets were the only ones in the home and all were able to get out uninjured.
