ORANGE, Conn. – Firefighters have finally chased all the goblins and gouls out of their firehouse and have started planning next year’s Haunted House event.

This was the second year the Orange Volunteer Fire Department created a haunted house in the fire department’s Orange Center Road firehouse. More than 600 kids and adults walked through the Halloween happening.

“People had a great time seeing the spooky, gory things we created this year,” said Rob Panapada, a firefighter who is the co-chair of the program. “The combination of laughter, shrieks and screams told us everyone was having a creepy but good time.”

“We had the advantage of the Orange Players and the Goodwin Dance Troupe this year,” added Dag Anderson, co-chair of the program. “We’re already planning next year’s event. It’ll be even better!”
