TAMARAC, FL - As the end of the year nears, many associations recognize those individuals who excelled and rose above others in their roles throughout the year. This year’s 2023 award recipients have been named by two prestigious associations here in Broward County. 

The Fire Inspectors Association of Broward County (FIABC) announced their award recipients on November 13th, 2023. Tamarac Fire Rescue is proud to announce that Assistant Fire Marshal, Rebecca Geimer, was awarded the 2023 Fire Plans Examiner of the Year Award. We are also excited to announce that Fire Inspector Sheila Doblas is the recipient of the FIABC 2023 Beth Martins Fire & Life Safety Educator of the Year Award.

Additionally, the Fire Chiefs Association of Broward County (FCABC) announced their award recipients for 2023 on November 13th, 2023, and we are again proud to announce that our Emergency Management Coordinator, Van Schoen, is the award recipient of the inaugural 2023 Emergency Manager of the Year Award.

These individuals are consummate professionals who have worked hard to provide outstanding customer service and go above and beyond their normal day-to-day duties.
