PLYMOUTH, MA - On November 12th at 7:04 P.M., Engines 1, 2, and 7, Tower 1 and BC3 were dispatched to 12 Alden Court for a building fire. While responding, PD on scene reported heavy smoke and fire.
Engine 1 signed off with a two-story detached garage fully involved and began stretching a two-and-a-half-inch line while Engine 7 established a water supply. Tower 1 set up the aerial on Alden Court and two other lines were stretched and put into operation. Flames were 40’ in the air with a lot of flying embers which then sparked a brush fire behind a residence on Standish Ave. BC3 struck a working fire and a second-alarm in rapid succession, starting Rescue 1 and Engine 5.
Two additional companies were also requested, that being Engines 4 and 6. Engine 5 and 6 went to work on the brush fire as companies continued working at Alden Ct. Tower 1 vented the Bravo exposure as heavy fire had made its way into the attic area. Fire was knocked down at 7:57 P.M., and all companies began opening up and overhauling.
?The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Thank you Carver, Kingston and Bourne for covering our stations during this incident.
