3 Vehicle MVA Slows Evening Commute in Altamont Area

A three-vehicle crash caused some delays at the start of the evening commute in the Altamont area.
The New Salem Fire Department was dispatched with Albany County Sheriff’s Ambulance, Albany County Paramedics and Albany County Sheriff’s for a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Altamont Road and Tygert Road on Thursday, October 3, just after 4:15 p.m.
The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to the hospital with chest pain. The occupants of the other two vehicles involved were checked out by EMS on scene and refused transport to the hospital.
The intersection remained alternating traffic to one lane while crews operated on the scene.
