On Sunday, October 13th 2024, the Miller Place Fire Department hosted a fire prevention open house. The event ran from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Miller Place Fire Department Station 2. The event featured a wide spread of fire/ems/police equipment on display. Members of the department conducted live demonstrations such as vehicle extrication, and a live fire demonstration. The Suffolk County Police Department Highway Patrol, Suffolk County Police Department Aviation, Suffolk County Sheriff Office Emergency Service Unit, Suffolk County Fire Rescue & Emergency Services were in attendance. The open house was an excellent opportunity for the community to learn about the emergency services the Miller Place Fire Department and its partners provides to each member of the community.
