On October 12^th the Lower Macungie Fire Department held their annual fire prevention open house and celebrated the 100th anniversary of the of the department. There was fire prevention and equipment Displays  and the Medevac Helicopter landed and the Upper Saucon Police Department K9 gave a demonstration., For the the 100^th Anniversary celebration there were remarks by the L.M.F.D president, The PA state fire commissioner by video , Wescosville Fire Co. Social Club, Office of State representative Ryan Mackenzie, Office of state senator Jarett Coleman, Lower Macungie Township and the L.M.F.D. Fire Chief.
