DELMAR, NY - The Delmar Fire Department hosted their annual open house event on Sunday, October 6th. Members were serving pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, apple cider and apple cider donuts. There were hose and fire extinguisher activities for kids to participate in, as well as a bounce house. There was also a live burn demonstration showing how quick a fire can grow, and the importance of early detection from a smoke detector.
