Vails Gate FD responded to a chimney fire on 25th-September at 18 Haight Drive. Firefighters arrived and found fire in chimney-extended ladder to roof and placed

chain to clean the sides of chimney. Chain would go half way down-was determined that area above wood stove was clogged firefighters used a cleaning rod that owners

of house had-unstuck the clogged chimney-took material from wood stove outside. New Windsor Fire Inspectors Office called and responded to scene. Fire was called

under control and turned over to the Fire Inspectors Office.
