On September 21^st the Wescosville Fire company celebrated the 100^th Anniversary of the Fire Company, In 1998 the social quarters side and firefighting side of the Wescosville Fire Company formally separated and the lower Macungie Fire Department was incorporated and operations ran out the Wescosville station, in 2010 the brandywine station went into service and later the L.M.F.D merged with the Alburtis Fire Department. In December of 2023 the Lower Macungie Fire Department and Lower Macungie Township entered into an agreement to provide fire department services to the borough of Macungie. The Lower Macungie Fire Department will hold their 100^th Anniversary activities on October 12th
