Shirley N.Y. - On Monday September 13th at about 1:42 PM Suffolk Fire Rescue Dispatched the Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Beach Ambulance for a vehicle crash on William Floyd Pkwy at Havenwood Dr East. On arrival the crew from Rescue truck 5-13-4 under the direction of commissioner Bill Biondi found a 3 vehicle crash. No one was trapped in any of the vehicles however they appeared to have sustained heavy damage. The crew from Rescue 4 went to work cleaning up fluid and debris and securing all 3 vehicles. While FD was working on the vehicles EMS was checking out the occupants of the vehicles. At least 2 patients were taken to a local hospital for treatment by Mastic Beach Ambulance. Fire Police Unit 80 assisted Suffolk Police 7th Pct officers with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
