Three people are dead and two Prince George's County firefighters were injured just after midnight, Thursday September 16th 2010, When a SUV traveling eastbound on Marlboro Pike in District Heights at a high rate of speed struck a Prince George's County ambulance from the District Heights station while it was responding on an incident,
The SUV then struck a telephone pole and a brick wall and overturned trapping the three victims who were pronounced dead on the scene by Prince George's County Paramedics.
The two injured firefighters were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the cause of the accident is under investigation by Prince George's County Police Department
