Newly appointed Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker and Patti Ann McDonald the widow of Detective Steven McDonald joined hundreds of participants who turned out Sunday morning for the Father Mychal Judge 911 Walk of Remembrance. The Annual event honors the memory of those lost on 911 and traces the footsteps of Father Mychal Judge in the spirit of prayer and remembrance. Also, this year the Memory of Detective Steven McDonald was honored. The hero cop was shot in 1986 and became a paraplegic; he publicly forgave him and became an international voice for peace
