East Herkimer Fire Department Provided Mutual Aid at Warren Structure Fire

WARREN, NY — August 9 — The East Herkimer Volunteer Fire Department offered assistance to the Richfield Springs Fire Department during a structure fire that occurred in the Town of Warren on August 9.


Four members from East Herkimer were part of Rescue 505, which arrived on the scene.

The crew brought the department’s cascade system, used to replenish firefighters’ self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders, and also contributed extra personnel during the operation.


The East Herkimer Volunteer Fire Department is stationed at 193 Main Road in East Herkimer.

Department records show that Rescue 505 is one of their current emergency vehicles.The department’s Facebook page also noted that Rescue 505 was staffed with four members and provided the cascade system and additional manpower for the incident.


East Herkimer crews have provided mutual aid in previous structure fire incidents, such as a 2026 building fire in East Herkimer, where department personnel helped with both suppression and overhaul activities.
